Pianist, jazz improviser and composer.
Sergejs has graduated from the Royal College of Music with Bachelor of Music Degree in Composition as well as from Leeds College of Music with BTEC National Diploma in Jazz Piano.
He has performed extensively in Russia (Moscow Conservatoire, St. Petersburg Composers Hall), Latvia (Ave Sol), UK (including Ronnie’s Scott Jazz Club) and other prestigious concert venues.
He has been a prize winner of numerous international festivals – competitions in Russia and the latest Pablo Casals de Prades international composers competition in France.
Sergejs has been teaching successfully classical and jazz piano, theory, aural training at Musica Nova Academy since September 2012. His teaching method has showed excellent results.
In September 2013 his student Anton Solodchenko has enrolled to the Junior Department at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
Sergey works with children (5 years old and adults). He has developed his own approach to creative teaching of piano playing and composing.
