Woodwind and Brass Instruments
Wind instruments are given a special place in the educational curriculum of the Musica Nova Academy. The Academy offers individual lessons and ensemble classes on the following disciplines: block flute, flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone, trumpet and trombone. All the above musical instruments are very popular amongst students. Professional musicians are in great demand performing with orchestras, bands and embarking on solo careers.
The wind instruments department is led by distinguished musicians with Conservatoire education. Both classical and popular music styles are taught at the Academy. It is possible to enrolwith the Academy at any time during the academic year. The choice of instrument will depend on the physical size of the student and their hands, not necessarily on their age.
The study programme includes modules that focus on preparation for Grade and Diploma exams, including different aspects of technique and interpretation, different choice of repertoire, starting with classical music and gradually progressing to jazz and other styles, if requested by the student.
We will be happy to provide advice on music instruments rental and purchasing schemes and to assist student in selecting instruments. It is important to understand what our students are interested in so just let us know and we will do our best to help you play your best.
"I am proud to be associated with and to support the unique mission of the Academy to promote great traditions of Russian music and education in the UK and to provide an encouragement for new generations of young promising musicians to develop professionally. I wish every success to the Academy and look forward to fruitful and creative co-operation"
